About this piece:
This is a reproduction print from a series of oracle imagery by Erika Karl. The original artwork for this piece was created with homemade black walnut ink on cold-press watercolor paper. Erika makes her own inks from ingredients found in her environment or with specific ingredients she seeks from other makers. Walnut ink gives a warmer tone than black inks.
Anima & Animus:
The concept of Anima & Animus reflects the soul, as inspired by Carl Jung’s psychological explorations. It symbolizes the union of the feminine and masculine energies present within us all, regardless of gender.
